Why Collect Rain
Did you know, according to the U.S. Geographical Survey, the average American uses 80-100 gallons of water a day? That means a typical family of four could use up to 146,000 gallons of water every year.
We are all aware of our sky-rocketing water consumption along with our changing weather patterns. Finally, after all of the years of conspicuous waste, as private individuals and as elected representatives, we recognize that it is in everyone’s best interest to intelligently use our dwindling natural resources, especially water. It is becoming more and more expensive for our cities to provide clean drinkable water to our increasing population
Capturing rain, storing, and intelligently using naturally clean water is a great way to do your part in helping to preserve our environment. But, this idea only appeals to our raw intellect; let’s consider something else.
Collecting the large amount of naturally soft rain water and using it in any manner you want just FEELS GOOD!
Now you can smile as you water your house plants with un-chlorinated naturally soft rain water that you collected.
If you are not sure, start small. We have rain barrels molded from food-grade resin starting at 50 gallons. As you mature in rain water harvesting, we can keep pace with you up to 360 gallons! Even, our Tijeras Rain Barrels can easily be linked together.
Before you start collecting rain….
If you are considering collecting rain water, aka “Water Harvesting”, please take the time to carefully evaluate your particular needs and the design features of the “catcher” you are going to use.
